Delete Your QuoteSketch Account

You can delete your QuoteSketch account and associated data at any time. This page explains how to do it, what gets deleted, what may be retained, and how long each step takes.

1. Delete from inside the app (fastest)

If you can sign in, this is the quickest way:

  1. Sign in at quotesketch.com/login or open the QuoteSketch Android app and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Scroll to the Account section.
  4. Tap "Delete Account".
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Your account and its data are removed immediately. This action cannot be undone. Once deleted, the same email can sign up again as a new account with no history.

2. Cannot sign in? Reset your password first

If you cannot sign in, the fastest option is to reset your password and then delete from inside the app:

  1. Go to quotesketch.com/login and click "Forgot password".
  2. Enter your account email. A reset link will arrive in your inbox.
  3. Set a new password, sign in, and follow Section 1 above.

If you no longer have access to the account email or prefer to request deletion in writing, use the email option below.

3. Delete by email request

If the password reset above does not work for you:

  1. Send an email to support@quotesketch.com.
  2. Use the subject line: "Delete my account".
  3. In the body, include the email address of the account you want deleted.
  4. If you are writing from a different email address, briefly explain why (for example, "I no longer have access to my old inbox").

We will complete your deletion within 7 business days and reply to confirm once done. If we need to verify your identity before deleting, we will ask you before doing anything.

4. Before you delete, back up what you want to keep

Deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted, QuoteSketch does not retain any copy of your data, and it cannot be recovered even if you sign up again with the same email address.

Before you delete, we strongly recommend saving anything you may need later:

  • Download PDF copies of your saved quotations. Open each quotation and use the Download or Print option to save it locally.
  • Export your clients list. Copy client details you want to keep into a spreadsheet or your own CRM.
  • Export your preset items list. Copy your services, products and prices into a spreadsheet if you plan to use them elsewhere.
  • Save your company profile details (address, tax number, bank details) somewhere you can refer to later.
  • Save any logos or image files you uploaded.

Once you delete your account, none of the above can be retrieved from QuoteSketch.

5. What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, the following are removed permanently from QuoteSketch systems:

  • Your account: email address, password hash, sign-in history, profile name
  • Your company profile: company name, logo, address, tax registration number, phone, contact details
  • Your bank details, if you added them
  • Your clients list: all client records, contacts, addresses, notes
  • Your preset items: services, products, prices you saved
  • Your quotation templates
  • Your saved quotations: all drafts, all sent quotes, all versions
  • Your app preferences and settings
  • Your Firebase Authentication record
  • Any files or logos you uploaded

Nothing on this list is kept by QuoteSketch after deletion. There is no soft-delete, no archive, no recovery window.

6. What data may be retained

The following may be kept temporarily or in anonymised form:

  • Anonymised website analytics that cannot be linked back to you personally (from web browsing only, never from the Android app)
  • Automated backup snapshots that are cleared on their normal schedule (see Section 7)
  • Records we are legally required to keep under applicable law, if any (for a free-tier user with no completed payments, this is typically none)
  • Server logs of technical activity (login times, error reports) which are automatically purged within 90 days

7. Timeline

  • In-app deletion: immediate
  • Email-based deletion: within 7 business days
  • Automated backup snapshots fully purged: within 30 days of deletion
  • Server logs fully purged: within 90 days of deletion

8. What deletion does NOT do

To be transparent about the limits of deletion:

  • Any quotations you sent to your clients as PDF or shared links are not affected. Those files exist wherever you or your clients saved them. QuoteSketch cannot recall a PDF once you have downloaded or emailed it.
  • If you shared your account with a colleague or team member and they made copies of data outside QuoteSketch, those copies are not affected.
  • Email correspondence between you and support@quotesketch.com is retained for our records for up to 12 months, then deleted.

9. Changing your mind before deletion is complete

For email-based requests only: if you change your mind before we complete deletion, reply to your original request within 3 business days with the subject "Cancel deletion request" and we will stop the process.

In-app deletion cannot be reversed, since it happens immediately.
